This In-Person Workshop is truly one of a kind and not to be missed. Casting Director Jennifer Buster, 20+ years of casting experience in LA and other markets, will be sharing with us some of the actual tapes that booked roles in her latest projects. If you are wondering why you’re not booking as much as you’d like or getting the callbacks you crave, this workshop will be an absolute eye opener. You will get to see what most actors will never have the opportunity to witness, the actual tapes that booked the roles of various projects from Hallmark to independent films to TV shows. They might even be some of the roles you auditioned for. Come see for yourself the kind of work that lands the role. It will change the way you approach your auditions forever.

How It Works: A handful of attendees selected by audition will get to perform during the workshop. They will be coached by Jennifer on the scenes from the booking tapes, before we watch the actual clips that booked the actors the roles. This rare opportunity will help the actors coached and those watching see the casting process in action, get into the mind of the casting director, and learn what it takes to truly be bookable in an audition.

It is not required to audition to attend the workshop.

If you do choose to audition whether you are selected to perform or not you will be blown away by what you learn. Watching the coaching process and then seeing the actual tape of the actor that booked it will completely change the way you look at auditioning.

All actors who audition, if not selected to work directly with Jennifer, will get written feedback from her about their tape several days after the workshop. This is a chance to get your work in front of one of Utah’s top Casting Directors AND get their highly valuable feedback. If you’re in the auditioning world, you know that hardly ever happens.

Audition Instructions for coaching Selection

Once you sign up for the workshop you’ll be given the links to:

Select one of the Tape That Booked It sides provided by Jennifer to prepare for your audition.
A link to upload your self-tape. (Please make sure to put your best foot forward when taping your audition – use great lighting, sound and set up. And make sure you tape with your phone horizontally. For your slate we just need your first and last name (age if under 18). And as Jennifer prefers, please put your slate at the END of your tape.)
Jennifer would like a copy of all participants headshots and resumes so you will be given a link to upload those.
Please note: All tapes are due by Wednesday, March 5th at 5pm.
If selected, we will notify you at least one week before the workshop. You will be sent a link for the additional payment of $49 at that time.

Jennifer Buster Bio

Jennifer Buster began her casting career in Los Angeles in 1998, at the prestigious Liberman/Hirschfeld Casting Company. Seinfeld, The Drew Carey Show, Party of Five and Third Rock from the Sun are just a sampling of the television series on which she has worked casting. While at Liberman/Hirschfeld, she also had the great privilege of working for 18 months to cast the highly acclaimed Steven Spielberg/Tom Hanks HBO mini-series Band of Brothers for which her team won a casting Emmy. She continued her casting relationship with Mr. Hanks on two projects; the television pilot, West Point and the feature film My Big Fat Greek Wedding. In 2000, she began her own casting company through which she has cast 30+ feature films and television series including multiple Hallmark films, Netflix’s The Christmas Project, Extinct, Saturday’s Warrior, Saints and Soldiers I and II, Forever Strong, Joan of Arc, Fly Boys, and God’s Army.
