Put a button on it!

You’ve probably heard the term “button” in acting but may not know what it is.

Basically, it means the thing you do to wrap up the scene at the end. To let everyone know you’re done. To put a final moment on your work.

It could be a gesture or a sound or a look away or turning your body. The possibilities are endless.

You just want to make sure it makes sense with the scene and supports the story you are telling.

Because it’s easier to give examples of buttons visually I’ve made a quick video to show you some ideas.
